A Spiritual Home
for Us

A Spiritual Home for Us is an ongoing research and spacemaking exercise. The exploration of a Spiritual Home for Us originated from the question: what are the spaces where Muslim women can come together in their multifacetedness?

The Spiritual Home for Us takes many different shapes: in the physical spaces where we gather, in the daily encounters we have when running into another Muslim girlie and in our IG comment section. A spiritual home for us is not bound to one definition, but always manifests as space rooted in our experience as women and spiritual beings relating to the unseen. We carefully express this into practices like reflection circles or exhibiting the work of Muslim women, but also in ways of simply existing in an intentionally curated God-conscious space. 

In the current three parts of our research we focused on collecting personal stories (part I), designing a physical space (part II) and realizing parts of this into a temporary manifestation with our community (part III).
